Important Update
IMU CET Result 2026 – Declared on June 14, 2026.
Candidates who have already received their result should focus on the next stage, such as rank verification, counselling, choice filling, seat allotment and admission formalities.
When Was IMU CET Result 2026 Declared?
The IMU CET 2026 result was declared on June 14, 2026.
The examination was conducted before the result declaration, and the result was followed by the university's counselling process. The official IMU notification listing confirms both the result notification and subsequent counselling notification in June 2026.
This means candidates should distinguish between three different stages:
- IMU CET Examination
- IMU CET Result and Rank
- Counselling and Seat Allotment
A candidate obtaining a qualifying rank should not assume that the result itself guarantees admission. Admission depends on the applicable eligibility requirements, counselling, seat availability, programme requirements and other university conditions.

IMU CET Rank List 2026
The IMU CET 2026 UG rank list was released on June 14, 2026.
The official rank-list document is titled “List of Candidates Qualified for UG (BTech, BSc, DNS) Programmes” and contains candidates qualified under the relevant competition category.
The rank list is particularly important because it helps determine a candidate's position for the subsequent admission process.
Why Is IMU CET Rank Important?
Rank can influence:
- Counselling eligibility
- Choice preferences
- Seat-allotment possibilities
- Programme selection
- Campus preference
- Competition level
However, rank alone does not mean that a particular campus or course is guaranteed.
Seat availability, category, eligibility, preferences and the applicable counselling rules also matter.
IMU CET Rank Card 2026
A rank card or rank certificate is an important document for candidates participating in the admission process.
The official IMU website currently provides an IMU-CET 2026 Rank Certificate Download facility among its admission-related updates.
Candidates should download and preserve the rank document safely.
It is useful to maintain:
- Original downloaded PDF
- Printed copy
- Backup copy in cloud storage
- Screenshot of important information
Students should avoid depending only on a screenshot because official admission authorities may require the actual document.
IMU CET Merit List 2026
The terms rank list and merit list are sometimes used interchangeably by students, but candidates should read the official notification carefully.
The university's 2026 UG rank list identifies candidates qualified for B.Tech, B.Sc and DNS programmes.
A candidate's position can be important during the counselling process, but final admission depends on the official admission rules.
What After IMU CET Result 2026?
Once the result is declared, the admission process does not necessarily end.
Candidates should check the following:
- Result status
- Rank
- Rank certificate
- Counselling registration
- Counselling fee, if applicable
- Choice filling
- Programme preference
- Campus preference
- Seat allotment
- Fee payment
- Document verification
- Reporting
The official IMU notification page lists the counselling notification after the result notification, showing that counselling follows the result stage.
IMU CET Counselling 2026
IMU CET counselling is the next major stage for eligible candidates.
The official IMU counselling portal is used for online counselling for admission to UG and PG programmes of IMU.
The counselling process can include:
- Registration
- Candidate login
- Choice selection
- Preference submission
- Seat allotment
- Confirmation
- Fee payment
- Reporting or document verification
Candidates should read each counselling notification carefully because deadlines are important.
Missing a counselling deadline can affect a candidate's admission opportunity.
IMU CET Choice Filling
Choice filling is one of the most important parts of counselling.
Students should not select programmes randomly. Before submitting preferences, consider:
- Career interest
- Eligibility
- Programme duration
- Campus
- Course curriculum
- Medical requirements where applicable
- Career pathway
- Fees
- Hostel requirements
- Seat availability
- Personal preference
A candidate should ideally create a preference list before entering the counselling portal.
Example Preference Planning
A student interested primarily in Marine Engineering might place eligible Marine Engineering options higher.
Another student interested in Nautical Science may prioritize B.Sc Nautical Science or DNS-related choices.
The correct preference order depends on the candidate's career goal.
IMU CET Seat Allotment 2026
After counselling and choice submission, eligible candidates may participate in seat allotment according to the university's admission process.
Seat allotment depends on several factors, including:
- Rank
- Candidate category
- Programme
- Choices submitted
- Seat availability
- Eligibility
- Applicable university rules
Candidates receiving a seat should carefully read the instructions associated with that allotment.
If the university requires fee payment within a specified deadline, candidates should complete the payment within the prescribed period.
IMU CET Cut Off 2026
The IMU CET cut off is another major search term after the result.
Candidates often use “cut off” to refer to the rank or qualifying level required for admission.
However, there is no single universal cut-off number that can accurately predict admission for every student.
The cut-off can differ depending on:
- Programme
- Campus
- Category
- Number of applicants
- Number of seats
- Candidate ranks
- Choice preferences
- Counselling round
- Seat availability
The official IMU notifications should therefore be preferred over unofficial predictions.
The university also published a notification relating to the cut-off percentile for UG DNS, B.Sc and B.Tech programmes in June 2026.
Factors Affecting IMU CET Cut Off
Several factors can influence the admission cut-off.
1. Number of Candidates
Higher competition can increase the closing level for popular programmes.
2. Number of Seats
If the number of seats is limited, competition may become stronger.
3. Programme Popularity
Popular programmes may receive more applications.
4. Campus Preference
Some campuses may be preferred more heavily than others.
5. Candidate Rank
A stronger rank generally provides greater flexibility during choice filling.
6. Category
Applicable reservation and admission rules can influence category-wise cut-offs.
7. Counselling Round
Closing ranks can vary between counselling rounds depending on seat availability.
IMU CET Admission Process 2026
The general admission journey can be understood as:
Application → Examination → Result → Rank → Counselling → Choice Filling → Seat Allotment → Fee Payment → Verification → Admission
Candidates should remember that each stage has its own requirements.
A student who has cleared the examination but does not participate correctly in counselling may not receive the desired seat.
